Star SU, the marketing, sales and service affiliate of Star Cutter Company, has announced that President Andreas Blind has been officially appointed to the American Gear Manufacturer’s Association (AGMA) Board of Directors, serving a three-year term.

Blind joined Star SU in July of 2022, facilitating and guiding the sales operations of the organization, as well as serving as the Chief Commercial Officer on the Star Cutter Company Board of Directors. He has extensive experience in product engineering, sales and marketing in the areas of  automation, metrology, laser processing, and the machine tool market. His experience is also inclusive of Smart technologies, supporting IIoT and Industry 4.0 principles.

Prior to joining Star SU, he served as head of sales, marketing, and applications at WENZEL Group GmbH. There he had global responsibility for a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, aviation, defense and medical, which parallels the markets that Star SU serves. Blind also spent more than 20 years in variety of positions at Jenoptik Smart Manufacturing, last serving as VP of Metrology, Light & Production North America.
